Sean Drummond's superiors are exhausted by the political fallout that always seems to trail the Army lawyer's wake, so they loan him out for a year to a high-powered law firm to soak up civilian lawyering. Once there, his undiplomatic ways ruffle the firm's executives, his predecessor is murdered, and the firm's biggest client throws up a red flag.
